Annual parish meeting

Image word art for parish meeting at St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal ChurchAll church members and visitors are invited and encouraged to attend St. Martin-in-the-Fields’ annual parish meeting on Sunday, January 28, after the 10:30 am worship service. As a parish, we share food and fellowship, elect vestry members and diocesan Convention representatives, attend to congregation business, review the budget, and hear where we are going together to reach more of our community and world.

The meeting will begin with a potluck luncheon! Please bring in dishes according to your last name:

  • A-G: dessert
  • H-O: meat dish /entree / main course
  • P-Z:  side dish or salad

It will be helpful to our volunteers preparing for the luncheon if dishes are delivered to the kitchen by 10:30 am. Lunch will be ready to be served after the 10:30 service ends. Childcare will be available.

Vestry and diocesan Convention delegate nominees

We have four open positions for vestry members. Our Vestry nominees will be announced prior to the meeting. The Vestry works to ensure our parish ministry is carried out in accordance with our parish values, mission, goals, and priorities, and according to the constitution and canons of our diocese. Vestry members whose terms expire in January 2018 are Charles Busey, Jack Bolerjack, Courtney Mullaney, and Ike Ogbue; please be sure to thank them for their service.

We have six open positions for delegates to the November 9-10 Convention of our diocese. The Friday & Saturday Convention will be held at the Decatur Civic Center in Decatur, Texas.

Paperless annual meeting & what this means for you

This meeting will be almost paperless, so stay tuned to download nominee information, agenda, and report summaries in PDF form. Ballots for the vestry election will be on paper.

Download before you come! Download each PDF by clicking on its link, and print if you wish, or simply view on your mobile or portable device. If you choose to print, you may choose to print in black and white instead of color in your printer settings. If we have updated items, we will note them as updated and include the date we published them.
