Piece Makers Sewing Group

Last year, the Prayer Shawl ministry was given a generous donation of a sewing machine as well as lots of fabric. And now we are ready to start adding new projects to our ministry!

The Prayer Shawl ministry knits and crochets shawls, chemo caps, scarves, soap sacks, etc. for those who need them. The Piece Makers will expand on this by creating hanging bags for walkers, bibs for nursing home residents, and other items designed to bring care and comfort to those in need.

When we meet

We will meet monthly on the third Thursdays from 10 am in the Outreach room located in the parish hall. For those who want to make a day of it, bring a sack lunch, and stay through Prayer Shawl as well, which meets from 1 – 2:30 pm. 

What you need

Just a willingness to participate! All of  our materials come from donations. A knowldege of sewing is great, but if you don’t have one, we’ll be happy to teach!
