Vacation Bible School wrapped up a week of fun!

We had an incredible five-day Shipwrecked Adventure, with God sightings everywhere that show how “Jesus rescues.”  Thanks to all the volunteers and participants that made VBS a hit! Children and adult volunteers enjoyed experiments, crafts, Bible stories, thoughtful discussions, videos and dance music. In total, 102 participants and 36 volunteers contributed to the success of this amazing week! Boy scout organizations also volunteered with setting up and cleaning up, and we are grateful for their service.

We learned these Bible points each day:

  • When you’re lonely, Jesus Rescues
  • When you worry, Jesus Rescues
  • When you struggle, Jesus Rescues
  • When you do wrong, Jesus Rescues
  • When you feel powerless, Jesus Rescues

VBS families and church members donated much-needed supplies for our outreach campaign to benefit 4Saints Episcopal Pantry: 109 boxes of cereal and 26 boxes of diapers! Wow, thank you for all your donations!

Boy scout and church volunteers put together our rescue raft. Children were challenged to place God Sighting stickers full of prayers to tape up the rips in the sail, indicating that they were indeed rescued and able to make it off the island- knowing that Jesus Rescues!
