Eagle Scout Project

Jordyn Fender is a Life scout with Troop 937 which meets at St. Martin-in-the-Fields. Life scout is the last rank before Eagle. Jordan has completed all of his Eagle requirements, with the exception of his Eagle scout project, the goal of which is to learn leadership skills while organizing and completing a project which benefits an organization other than Scouting.

For his Eagle project, Jordyn has chosen to redo the walkway and ring around the flagpole in front of St. Martin’s sanctuary. Currently, the stones are spaced far apart and have started to sink, allowing weeds to grow around them and creating an uneven walking surface. Jordan plans to install a continuous walkway and ring like the one pictured below. It will have a paver base to provide a level pathway that won’t sink, with weed blocker underneath to prevent weeds from sprouting through.
