On Sunday, April 11, St. Martin’s members, along with members from Fever United Soccer Club and scouts from Troop 937 came together for a Church Wide Work Day. About 35 people lent their time and talents to the important job of sprucing up St. Martin’s buildings and grounds. Many important tasks were tackled, including weeding and trimming of trees and bushes, our playground was cleaned up, some painting jobs were completed, classrooms were cleaned and reorganized in anticipation of reopening, and the Memorial Garden was cleaned up and over 100 new plants were added to the garden.
It was a glorious day of work and fellowship! We were able to safely come together on our grounds for the first time since the start of the pandemic. It was exciting to see old friends. So much thanks goes to all of you who volunteered. Congratulations especially to Jr. Warden Bob Bess for spearheading the event, and to Dick and Linda Seeber for helping to organize and gather supplies needed for so many projects!
We cannot say thank you enough for coming together to get St. Martin’s looking great!
We have a few more jobs that still need tackling and if you are interested in helping please contact either of our Junior Wardens. Bob Bess can be reached at bessfam53@gmail.com, and Chris Mullaney at lucky_charms4077@yahoo.com.
In addition, if there are any individuals who would like to serve on the Holy Mowers team, we sure could use your help this season!
Thanks again!
