The Rev. Ellen Singer serves as Curate at St. Martin’s. She has a heart for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and seeking reconciliation across difference. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, she graduated from Georgetown University with a BA double major in Economics and Theology. She graduated from Virginia Theological Seminary in 2026, where she served as Seminarian at St. Timothy’s, Herndon, and wrote an honor’s thesis on the doctrine of time. Before seminary, she worked in communications and served as a Jesuit Volunteer Case Manager at Casa Marianella, a shelter for asylum seekers and refugees. Ellen and her husband Dan have two cats with big personalities named Janet and Dana. Ellen enjoys spending time with family, PC gaming, and exploring new eateries and coffee shops.
