Zip code parties
St. Martin’s members are enjoying zip code parties – small, local gatherings of people who live near each other – so that we can all know each other better and get to know our new rector, the Rev. Scot McComas.
Please watch for an invitation and kindly respond to your host so they can plan to accommodate you. Most of our parties will be in a host’s home, so each party be different in the number of people they can graciously accommodate. Don’t worry if you have not received an invitation yet – parties will continue into the fall. Many of our more densely-populated zip codes will be divided up, and more loosely-populated zip codes will be combined. Come share your hopes and dreams for the future of St. Martin’s with our new rector and other members who live near you!
Father Scot says, “It’s great to get to know people and hear the stories and talk about things that matter to each of you. I see such a dymanic mix of people who are new to St. Martin’s and who’ve been attending a long time. These parties are great!”
The Grow the Church Ministry group will coordinate as many gatherings as we need so everyone is invited to attend a party. Can you help host a weeknight or weekend party? Contact Elizabeth Mason at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are willing be a host; we still need hosts in many zip codes.
