We welcome two new members to St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church staff – Kristen Kosla and Amy Pirk.
We welcome Kristen as our new Financial Manager. She will use her accounting skills to continue to meet the needs of our growing church and growing school. The growth in all areas of our church is apparent.
Because of this wonderful growth, we welcome Amy Pirk as Children’s Minister to serve in our programs for young people. Amy will minister to children from age four up to fifth grade and will be working with volunteer Liza Goodner to facilitate our new preYC youth group for tweens.
Corrie Cabes’ role has been redefined to serve children in grades 6-12 as Youth Minister because of the sizable increase in the number of young people attending St. Martin’s. Corrie will continue to engage youth in our Episcopal Youth Community program. Corrie will also continue to serve as Chaplain for St. Martin’s Episcopal School.
Our church has experienced an overwhelming amount of growth in Sunday School and youth programs. Adding a new staff member and splitting the responsibility of serving children into age-level groups is a way we uphold the vision of our church:

St. Martin-in-the-Fields is an open and accepting community where the love of Jesus lives and transforms through worship, education, fellowship and service in our church and in the world.

Meet Kristen Kosla

koslaKristen is a Certified Public Accountant originally from West Texas. She moved to the DFW area after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin. Her background has been mostly in corporate accounting and finance and she looks forward to working in a smaller business setting. Kristen lives in Keller with her husband and two children.

Meet Amy Pirk

apirk-DSC_0255Amy is a great fit as Children’s Minister. She has a heart for children’s ministry and has a passion for guiding little ones on their individual walk with Christ. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso and holds a degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with areas of concentration in English and American Literature, Humanities and Youth Studies.
Amy joined St. Martin-in-the-Fields a little over a year ago with her husband, Jon, son, Justin, and daughter Emma. An El Paso, Texas transplant, Amy is now proud to call Keller home. In her free time Amy can be found strolling around her favorite Texas town: Roanoke, having tea parties with her favorite blue-glasses-wearing toddler, or reading one of the many books she has perched on her nightstand.

Our commitment to education runs deep

We are eager to continue to plant spiritual seeds and to nurture spiritual growth. We seek to give young people the opportunity to encounter God, ask questions, grow their faith, and be supported by leaders who love and serve them. Our commitment to education is deep; it’s one of our church’s core values:

We provide Christian education for all ages throughout the week and on Sundays allowing us to deepen our understanding of God’s word and actions in history and in our lives. Our day school provides an exemplary and nurturing Christian learning environment.
