Ways you can plug in to grow Festival in the Fields

Things are progressing at a very fast clip and we’re all getting excited about the Festival in the Fields  on October 25, 2014. The festival committee has the task manager positions assigned and many important tasks completed. We do need your help with:

Book donations: Start bringing in your book donations; there will be a book collections box located at the back of the sanctuary. Contact Mev and Bill Matulevich for book questions.

Donations for silent auction: We currently have 13 items and would like more. If you have anything hand-made or new to contribute, contact Linda Seeber.

Chili cook-off: If you want to participate in the chili cook-off, please let Elizabeth and Doug Mason know.

Bake sale: Please contact Richard Cabes to let him know you plan on participating. It’s too soon to prepare food, but not too soon to sign-up.

Volunteers are needed to assist on the day of the festival:

  • Set-up and tear-down of the festival
  • Children’s games (e.g., pumpkin painting, etc.) and other children functions (e.g., slides, bounce house, etc.) helpers
  • Parking lot safety and crosswalk monitors
  • Chili-cook-off judges and supporters
  • Trash and litter monitors
  • Jack/Jill-of- all-trades helpers

Exhibitor & vendor information:

The festival will offer more fun with exhibitors and vendors! Members of St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church, St. Martin’s Episcopal School, Fever United Football Club, or another non-profit organization will NOT have to pay an exhibitor’s fee. Other vendors will be charged $35 for a 10ft by 10ft outside spot. All exhibitors must register. There are paper exhibitor application forms back of the church with a list of exhibitor policies. Exhibitor registration and information is online at http://www.stmartininthefields.org/festival-exhibits/. All applications and fee payments must be received by September 15, 2014.

Plan to come!

Even if you can’t to participate in the festival as a volunteer or a contributor, invite your friends and neighbors and plan to come to the festival on October 25! Everyone has had a great time at our previous festivals! Come and be a part of the fun.
