We are pleased to share the art from the 2012 “Visions of Holy Week” exhibit. Today’s art is by four artists and represents their visions of Palm Sunday.

They brought the donkey and placed their cloaks on him for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Matthew 25:7-8

My painting is from a vision that my husband had when I mentioned that the paintings were about Holy week: Jesus from atop the donkey, views the love of the people through all the palms that are laid before him.

I approached the theme with a sense of humor. It dawned on me that the donkey’s perspective might be, “so, Jesus, you want me to take you where?!”

These photos, taken from the region near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, are manipulated by graffiti and paint. They represent Jesus entering the city on donkey. I named this series of images The Writing on the Wall. Can you imagine if people only knew how the world was about to change? How can we prepare during this time of Lent for His coming again?
