Vacation Bible School: Day 3

Wow! How can it be Day 3 already?

On Day 3 of Lava Lava Island, we learn:

Bible Point: Jesus gives us courage.

Bible Verse: “For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need.” Philippians 4:13

Bible Story: Jesus sends out the 12 disciples. Matthew 10:1-31

Aloha! It’s Day 3 on the island. We have had two fun-packed days already! Who is ready for Day 3?

At VBS, it’s another terrific, tropical day in paradise, learning about Jesus. But, the party isn’t ending today. Join us for our closing Vacation Bible School celebration worship service and luau starting in the sanctuary on Saturday, June 27 at 5 pm. We’ll have awesome music and prayers, just like the three days of VBS that we have loved. Then we’ll enjoy delicious food and a marvelous movie theater experience with our buddy, Chadder the chipmunk! Let’s see where the adventure leads us.

In the Bible story for Vacation Bible School today, Jesus sent out his disciples to preach and teach and we are called to do the same. We can go out into the world and spread Jesus’ message of love to everyone!

Think about it!

Here’s some questions to start a great conversation at home:

God calls us to be courageous, putting other’s needs before our own. How can we put others first?

God equips us with special gifts. What are some things you like to do? How can you use your gifts to make a difference in the world?

What did you like best about Vacation Bible School?

I want to be like Jesus!

This week, we remember the homeless served by Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County. Join our Vacation Bible School giving campaign by bringing donations of toilet paper and size 4 disposable diapers each day of VBS.

Pray this Prayer: Dear God, help me to remember that I can be like your followers and make a difference in this world. Help me to be more like Jesus every day. AMEN

Save the date for Saturday and come to our VBS celebration worship service and luau on Saturday, June 27 starting at 5pm in the sanctuary.
