Teen News – October
Teen News – October
Teens, parents, and volunteers, we’ve got October news here for you!
Volunteer- we need you!
Volunteer to help with our teen programs and be a part of a growing ministry! We need two adults each for Sunday School, Wednesday night EYC meetings, and Sunday Funday outings. Volunteers don’t have to be parents! Sharing your presence with teens is rewarding for you and inspiring for them. Contact Youth Minister Megan Grant at email@example.com.
October 6: Blessing of the Animals
Drive thru blessings will be offered in the church parking lot from 5:45 – 6:15 pm! Students, please sign up on the sheet in the EYC room to volunteer for this fun event.
October 14: Service Sunday – after the 10:30 am service
Please join us as we assemble sandwiches and bags of food for the homeless served by Union Gospel Mission! If you are able, please donate Sunbutter, cookies or granola bars! We greatly appreciate your donations! Want to help in another way? Be an Early Bird and help us set up before church at 9:30 am. We need help every second Sunday in all these ways.
October 21: Sunday Funday – after the 10:30 am service
We are kicking off Sunday Funday with an on-campus “afternoon at the movies.” We will take over the large parish hall for a Halloween movie and pizza lunch. Parents, due to not having to spend money on an event for your child we are asking that you please provide a food and drink for us. We need pizza, chips, sodas, and candy. Students are invited to dress up if they would like. They may also bring a pillow and blanket. Don’t worry, we will have adult monitors and lights will be dimmed, but not off.
October 28: Trunk or Treat/Chili Cook-Off
NO WEDNESDAY NIGHT EYC SERVICE ON HALLOWEEN
We are cancelling EYC on Halloween (Wednesday, October 31) so that everyone can be with family and friends for whatever Halloween festivities they would like to do. St. Martin’s will host its annual Trunk or Treat and EYC is having our Sunday Funday Halloween in order to celebrate the holiday.
