Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry members knit/crochet shawls, chemo caps, scarves, stocking caps, ear warmers and soap sacks to be given to those in need of comfort and support. This ministry meets weekly (Sept. – May) at 1 – 2:30 pm in the Chapel. Anyone interested is encouraged to join. If you are interested in learning to knit or crochet, there are members willing to teach you.

Prayer Shawls blessed, ready to wrap people in love

On Sunday, April 3, St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church blessed prayer shawls that are ready to wrap people in our community in warmth, love and prayer. The Prayer Shawl Ministry knitted or crocheted 15 shawls, 3 lapghans (lap blanket afghans), and 17 chemo caps. The children of our congregation laid hands on the handmade items and added their prayers and blessing as the rest of the congregation prayed. Info, photos, more…
