Children will continue the season of Epiphany immersed in lessons from the Old Testament. We will learn about a variety of prophets, each speaking to God’s relationship with the people. “Although these prophets were speaking to a particular circumstance in a specific time and place, their words are helpful reminders to us today about our own relationship with God.”
In addition to Sunday school, we are excited about our events that extend the children’s community:
Family Worship Service Feb 3: Scout Sunday
Please mark your calendar for February 3 to attend the family worship service, as children in grades K-6 grades will be recognized for completing the fall Sunday School P.R.A.Y. curriculum!  Please contact liza.goodner@stmartininthefields.org if you HAVE NOT RECEIVED an email regarding your child receiving the “PRAY”emblem pin (to be awarded at the Scout Sunday service on Feb.3rd).
During the 10:30 am worship service this Sunday, St. Martin’s will celebrate Scout Sunday and honor children and adults who serve our community in their scouting organizations. All Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Venture Scouts and their leaders will be recognized during the 10:30 am service. Scouts, show your pride, and wear your uniforms to church! Boy Scouts, that’s Class A uniforms for you, and Girl Scouts, that’s your sash or vest and membership pins.
If you’re a Scout or leader who’s coming, please let Christopher DeClerk know so he can be sure to have a patch for you. Contact him at cdsmitf@twc.com or call, text, or message at 603-727-6205.
Boy Scout Troop 937 will be taking on leadership roles before, during, and after the service. Expect to be welcomed by scouts and invited to share cocoa, coffee, and s’mores on the lawn (weather permitting)! Scout leaders will be available to answer any questions about scouting. St. Martin’s is the charter organization for Troop 937, and we are delighted for their leadership and for their support in activities of our church throughout the year.
We know we have Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in various troops, and we’re grateful for the ways you serve at our church and in our communities as you live the Scout Laws! Please connect with Christopher and introduce yourselves, and consider ways to weave all our Scouts together to strengthen relationships and serve our community.

Lunch Fundraiser after church Feb.3

In addition to coffee hour, Scouts will be serving up hot dogs so you can enjoy lunch – We look forward to seeing you there!

A $5 donation will get you a meal of a hot dog, chips & soda and $7 will get you two meals. We’d appreciate whatever you can donate – but don’t let a donation stop you from enjoying anything! All donations will benefit our Children’s and Youth Ministries.
In the event of inclement weather, all festivities will be moved to the small, west parish hall.
General Information about Family Worship Services:
Families, please join us at our 10:30 am family worship on first Sundays, a special time for kids to be hands on and immersed in all we do together in worship. We need youth readers & prayer leaders each month! If your kids are interested in reading our bible lessons or lead prayers, please sign them up here.
We are continuing our journey with mite boxes! Please continue to bring them to Family Worship Service so that you can put them in the collection plate. If you need a mite box for your child, or more information about our mite box project, please contact liza.goodner@stmartininthefields.org.
