I believe that acts of stewardship are part of a Christian’s fulfilling his or her commitment to God. Acts of stewardship advance God’s work through supporting his church and the community of persons belonging to the church. That includes financial support as well as giving time and effort to the church. It also includes offering prayers and friendship for the church community. Stewardship is, in a way, it’s own reward because it gives one a sense of closeness to God and belonging to the church community.
