I went to a Catholic college. l will always remember an elderly Priest’s words to the class. He said if we only remembered this one thing…remember to never let “man-made issues” get in the way of your relationship with God. I have encountered many “man-made issues” in my spiritual journey. Controversies of all kinds are “man-made issues”. It has taken will-power and a level head to let these issues not affect me in my relationships at St. Martins. We need to be sure that issues do not affect our stewardship, whether it is our time, our talent or our treasure.
