Spiritual Awareness

The Spiritual Awareness group meets weekly on Thursdays at 10:30 am in the Rector’s Study.

Members share and listen to each others’ “faith story” and how they see God working in their lives, most especially in the week that has passed. Meetings begin and end with prayer. Each person may share if they wish. Sometimes we just come to listen.

We have been meeting as a group for many years. The membership remains in a state of flux as people come and go. It is open to both men and women, and attendance each week is not required. Come when you can.

Over the years we have developed a keen sense of intimacy and trust. We are sharing the most precious part of ourselves, which is our spiritual journey. We ask that “what is said in the room, stays in the room.” We are accepting of where we all are on the journey; we don’t try to “fix” anyone’s theology or be critical of any beliefs. It truly is an opportunity to share in a respectful environment.

We’re not a prayer group, although we pray for each other; we are not a support group, although we support each other. Sharing our spirituality is our purpose.

We can guarantee that you will be welcomed by the group. Please come and give us a try! For more information or to RSVP to any Thursday, please contact us at spiritual-awareness@stmartininthefields.org.
