In his sermon this week, the Very Rev. Ron Pogue expands on the gospel reading of the lepers who are healed by Jesus. He heals ten of them, but nine of them go along their way with no connection to Jesus. One of them, a Samaritan, turns back to Jesus, and is not only healed from illness in that moment, but saved from that moment on. Father Ron urges us to experience our faith this way. Not to come in to church to be healed, but to come and share in the joy and the resurrection of Jesus; to become Easter people, and live fully in our faith.
