In his sermon on the third Sunday of Advent, The Rev. Christopher Thomas gets to grapple with John the Baptist. In the midst of our preparation for the coming of the baby Jesus, there is a sudden road block in the form of John, yelling at us to Repent! Father Christopher talks to us about why this is uncomfortable, the thought of repentance. Is it because we must look into ourselves and see our sins? Is John a lunatic? Or is he asking us to clean ourselves up before we invite the incarnation of our Lord?
