In his sermon this week, the Rev. Christopher Thomas reads to us from the book of Genesis: “In the beginning.” He does this to remind us that God is the creator, and we are the created. We were created to be stewards of the creation. Father Chris urges us to remember that we are merely stewards of the abundance God has given us, and we need to share that abundance. Do not be like the “rich fool” in the gospel reading, who believes himself to be the master of all his wealth. Father Chris reminds us that all that we have came from God.
