In his final sermon as rector of St. Martin’s, the Rev. Scot McComas speaks about the parable in this week’s gospel of Luke, of the good Samaritan. This same story, or a variation of it, can be found in all world religions. The fundamental aspect of the story is that to adhere to the faith, you must minister to those in need; You must love your neighbor. Father Scot talks about his leaving, and that no matter who is rector here, what matters most is God’s love that is ever-present. He urges us all to continue to do God’s good works, and to let our lives be guided by love.
