In her sermon this week, our guest preacher, The Rev. Canon Linda Taylor talks to us about obedience and choice. When Simon was obedient to Jesus, when he threw out his net knowing he would catch no fish, but doing it because Jesus told him to, he was blessed with an abundance of fish. When we are faced with choices, and when we listen to the voice of Jesus and obey it, we are blessed with the holy spirit, and we become fishers of people. Those around us who see us making good, kind, and wise choices will be touched by it, and perhaps act in like kindness towards others. Mother Linda encourages us to hear the voice of Jesus and obey it.
