Join us in providing a monthly communion service for memory care residents

On the first Sunday of each month at 2 pm, St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church brings worship and Holy Communion to residents in the memory care section of The Legacy at Bear Creek assisted living center in Keller,  just a mile west of our church. This short service is specifically tailored for the needs and joy of that congregation. Music is an important part, and well-known hymns are enjoyed by everyone; even people who are limited in their ability to communicate often join in singing. We pray with or anoint anyone who would like to receive personal prayers.

Opportunity for loving and serving

Please join us and be the heart, hands, feet and the welcoming Presence of Christ to some of the most vulnerable and often forgotten people in our community. This unique worship will benefit from your attendance and help. Some of the simple ways to help are:

  • Greeting residents
  • Singing
  • Distributing communion in little cups and reminding recipients how to eat it
  • Praying with and for individual residents.

To get involved, please contact the Rev. Susan Slaughter at 817-689-7077 or susan.slaughter@stmartininthefields.org or the Rev. Scot McComas at 704-779-6113
