Morning Prayer Opportunities this Summer

Our weekday Morning Prayer group will be taking a break this summer, allowing the leaders to have some time to rest and discern how the group can best move forward. In the meantime, here are a couple of options to help you in your daily prayers:

Episcopal Worship to Anchor Your Day

This group, which Father Alan helped start at his parish in Houston, prays Morning Devotions for Families every morning at 8am (Central), and Compline every evening at 8pm.

Morning at the Office

A daily Morning Prayer podcast from Forward Movement

Service of Morning Prayer & Reflection

Prayers, readings from Holy Scripture, and contemplative music from Washington National Cathedral, at 8am (Central) every Monday-Friday.

Morning Prayer Resumes on Monday, September 12 at 9 am

We offer you a ZOOM Daily Morning Prayer at 9 am each week day. This is a great way to start your day with God and the St. Martin’s community.

Morning Prayer is one service in the Book of Common Prayer Daily Office (BCP pp 35-146). These ancient prayers provide a forum for us to pray, hear scripture, and affirm our belief together. We will use a variety of Episcopal sources for Morning Prayer.

Once you enter ZOOM Daily Morning Prayer, everything you need will be on your screen. Bring a cup of morning beverage, light a candle if you wish, and join us for 15 minutes of prayer and reflection.

If you would like to lead Morning Prayer, or would like to read scripture during the service, please email Paula Jefferson at
