Volunteer opportunities for Tarrant churches during Pride Week
At St. Martin-in-the-Fields we say, “All Are Welcome – No Exceptions!” In October we will have the opportunity to express and expand that statement.
Along with other parishes in the East Deanery, members of St. Martin’s will march in the Tarrant County Pride Parade in Fort Worth on Saturday, October 5. Event details are below. The Diocese of Fort Worth is #42 in the parade line up – we’ll meet at 10:30 – 10:45 am on the east-bound corner of W. 2nd and Florence St. The parade starts at 11 am.
Want to carpool? Meet in St. Martin’s parking lot at 9 am on Oct. 5. We’ll leave at 9:30 am to drive to Fort Worth together.
Don’t forget to order you custom-designed Pride T-shirt to wear during the parade!
The Pride Festival begins immediately following the Parade in the Water Gardens area. The deanery will have a booth which will offer Mom Hugs, Dad Hugs, Priest Hugs, Grandmother Hugs, etc., as well as pet blessings and selfie photo ops with a God Loves Me! photo frame. Sign up today to assist with the booth! Admission to the festival is $5.
