New Cub Scout Pack info meeting at St. Martin’s

Join us on Sunday after the 10:30 am service for an informational meeting & to sign up your son or daughter for Cub Scouts!

We are excited to announce we are forming a Boy Scouts of America Cub Scout Pack to support our parish and the community. If you have a boy or girl in kindergarten through fifth grade, please join us for an information session about our new pack. We also have an ongoing Boy Scout Troop that meets at St. Martin’s and we’ll be glad to talk to anyone about that as well. A representative from the Lakeview District and Pack leadership will be on hand to answer questions and sign-up.

Troop 937 Scouts will be helping the younger Scouts with their requirements. Starting in January, we will hold two meetings per month at St. Martin’s Sunday nights from 5:30 to 6:45. There will be a couple of family camp out events each year and the opportunity to participate in the Raingutter Regatta and the famous Pinewood Derby! Additionally, Scouts get to experience lots of adventures while they work toward achievement and rank advancement. It is a wonderful low-stress opportunity to bond with your family!

Cub Scouts are grouped into Dens based on their grade:

  • Lions – kindergarten
  • Tigers – 1st Grade
  • Wolves – 2nd Grade
  • Bears – 3rd Grade
  • Webelos – 4th Grade
  • Arrow of Light – 5th Grade
  • BSA – 6th Grade through age 18
