Alleluia! Christ Is Risen! I want to wish a very Happy Resurrection Season to each of you as we celebrate Eastertide. Thank you to all of our ministries and ministers at St. Martin-in-the-Fields. Although our faith is not about “numbers” but about each person’s relationship to Christ and the community of St. Martin’s, it is important to understand that we stand at the threshold of uncharted territory as we continue to grow and expand our ministries and church staff. As we begin Lent on Ash Wednesday, God calls us “to the observance of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God’s holy Word” (The Book of Common Prayer, p. 265). How will you deepen your spiritual life this Lent as we prepare for our Lord’s resurrection on Easter day, the holiest day of the Christian calendar?
