This year, join in for our Vacation Bible School (VBS) outreach program to bring diapers & cereal to the children served by 4Saints Episcopal Food Pantry. At VBS we teach children how much God loves them, and we also teach them how to share God’s love with others. In our church community, we model what we teach children, and we seize every opportunity to magnify outreach!
What we’re collecting
- boxed breakfast cereal
- hot breakfast cereal
- children’s diapers, all sizes
Please bring your donations through July 15, and place them right in front of the altar in the church sanctuary. During church office hours, please bring them in to church through the office building. During VBS, we’ll also have a collection spot in our school building. We will bless your cereal and diaper donations at the 10:30 am service on July 15.
Our “Shipwrecked” VBS theme teaches us that Jesus loves us through all the trials we encounter in life. We connect our hearts and minds by donating to local needs and this can impact children in a very positive way as they voyage through the week of VBS and beyond.
History of 4Saints
4Saints Episcopal Food Pantry located at St. Luke’s in the Meadow Episcopal Church is an Episcopal food bank within our deanery. The Meadowbrook area of Fort Worth, where St. Luke’s is, has many low-income families, and hunger is an issue there. This is the only food pantry in the area. In 2016, St. Martin’s joined St. Alban’s, Arlington and St. Stephen’s, Hurst in support of 4Saints, in order to get this important ministry started. St. Martin’s also purchased paint for the renovated space and collected money for food as the pantry opened. We help sustain it through food donations that you provide.
