Dear Parishioners of St. Martin’s,
Just wanted to give you a final update on our October outreach shoe drive.
All together we collected:
- 216 pairs of socks (all ages, male and female, athletic and dress).
- 115 Pairs of shoes (boots, slippers, athletic, dress and even sandals)
All the shoes are a real blessing to the homeless population of Fort Worth and will help Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County clients with job interviews and comfort.
We blessed all the donations during worship service on October 31, and the UGM truck came to pick them up. They were overwhelmed by and so appreciative of how many pairs of shoes and socks were donated!
I can’t adequately express how proud and happy I am to belong to such a giving, generous family of parishioners. Again, you just continue to amaze me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
