On Sunday, June 14, St. Martin’s was joined by youth and sponsors from the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity in Midland, Texas. Trinity’s faithful worshiped with us, served as acolytes, helped in Summer Children’s Chapel and made sack lunches to feed the homeless served by Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County. It was another great day of togetherness in worship, service and fun.
Kevin Leoffler and Bert Bostic, adult leaders from Holy Trinity spoke about the importance of ministry and service to a group of children and teens in chapel. Teens from St. Martin’s and Holy Trinity talked about the joy they felt serving at Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County on Thursday, June 11. When youth and adults reach outside their doors, past the surrounding community to serve with others, it is a transformative experience, where relationships are built and Jesus’ love is present.
