Have you felt the pull to be a provider of pastoral care?
Are you looking for an opportunity to serve the Lord and care for others?
Were you a Stephen Minister at St. Martin-in-the-Fields?
Consider this… the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth is bringing the Community of Hope program to this area. It is a comprehensive curriculum to not only train lay people to pastoral care ministry, but also to care for those caregivers after the training is complete.
The 42-hour curriculum training is not easy, but it is very fulfilling spiritually. The goal is to create Christian communities of lay volunteer pastoral care givers united in prayer, shaped by Benedictine spirituality and equipped for pastoral care ministries.
If you would like more information, I have a brochure in my office which you can look at and the Diocese is hosting an Information Night on Monday, July 21 at 7 pm at St. Luke’s in the Meadow Episcopal Church in Fort Worth.
I look forward to having people from our parish as part of this new community gathered to meet the pastoral needs of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth.
