All Saints’ Children’s Parade & Trunk or Treat Coffee Hour on November 2

Join us on All Saints’ Sunday on November 2 for worship and for a special Trunk or Treat coffee hour! Everyone is invited to dress as their favorite saint for the 10:30am service, and children are invited to parade in our worship service. After the service, join us for a very fun coffee hour in the parking lot to celebrate All Saints’ Sunday.

Children wanting to parade should meet right outside the red church doors at 10:15am to put on saints banners; they will follow the processional cross while teen musicians play “When the Saints Go Marching In.” After the parade children will return to their parents in the pews for the rest of our First Sunday Family Worship Sunday.

Kids and teens, what career inspires you? Adults, are you a teacher, police officer or even an accountant? Anyone can be a “modern day saint” in the community.

After the service, we will have a special parking area for those who want to park their vehicles and pass out candy to children. The “best dressed” vehicle wins a prize! We encourage young and old to dress up and make this a fun community event to celebrate the saints who inspire us today.

Peanut/Tree Nut-Free Event

We ask that you hand out peanut-free and tree-nut-free candy at this event to keep all of our little ghouls and ghosts safe. Want to hand out temporary tattoos, bubbles, stickers and matchbox cars? Go for it! Let’s make it fun and safe for everyone.

Here’s a list of some easy-to-find, nut-free candy (just check the bag for ingredients):

  • Skittles
  • Jolly Ranchers
  • Twizzlers
  • Now and Later
  • Starburst

How to Participate in Trunk or Treat

Vehicles: Pull your vehicle into the east part of the parking lot (it will be designated with cones and signs). After the 10:30am service, head outside to your vehicle and get ready to pass out candy to kiddos. We will enjoy an outdoor coffee hour and the sky is the limit to decorate your vehicle.

People: Everyone of every age can enjoy the treats at coffee hour. Kids will want to bring a bag to collect treats in, and roam around gathering treats from the trunks and truck beds.
