Adult education

We didn’t actually learn everything we need to know about God as a child or in a church sanctuary; faith is a journey of a lifetime. Come to one of our adult education classes and be with people who want to pursue knowledge, explore the Bible, explore ideas, and delve deeper into their relationship with God.

Human Flourishing: A Preface for Hard Conversations

In October 2020, Dr. Scott Bader-Saye, Professor of Christian Ethics at Seminary of the Southwest, was our guest lecturer. His topic, Human Flourishing:  A Preface for Hard Conversations, set a foundation for us to explore racism, LGBTQ+ inclusivity, and other difficult-to-talk-about topics. Why? Because God calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Lectionary Study Group

Join us every Sunday at 7 pm, we’ll meet on Zoom to discuss the weekly lectionary readings.

We’ll be using the ancient practice of Lectio Divina to enter into the Word. Lectio Divina invites us to meditate on Scripture – to “sit with it” for a while – as a way of delving more deeply into God’s Word.

Sisters of the Spirit

Sisters of the Spirit (SOS) is for women who are interested in exploring their faith through book discussion. The group meets on Mondays from 1-2 pm in the chapel; please enter through the church office. Many in the group meet for lunch before hand at a designated place & all are welcome to join! SOS also occasionally goes to the movies together in place of a weekly meeting, or even have a movie screening party at someone’s home! Information about those events will be posted on our website.

Band of Moms

Hey mama, I’m talking to you! Due to COVID restrictions, we’re currently meeting on Zoom.

Please join us on the second & fourth Sundays of each month at 9:15 am in the library.
