Adult Christian Education Update

We are well on our way with the work started during this interim period with Fr. Mike Wallens, our interim rector.  Under his leadership this fall, a new adult Sunday class formed and a vision statement was created.   The task at hand is finishing up the vision statement and moving to the mission statement. The ultimate goal is to get all three statements (vision-mission-values) completed by the annual meeting to share with the parish. The three vision statements put forth by members of the congregation are:

St. Martin-in-the-Fields is an open and accepting community where the love of Jesus lives and transforms through education, worship, service and fellowship. St. Martin-in-the-Fields is and open and accepting community of faith that lives (acts) out the fullness of God’s love by becoming Christ’s hands and feet in our church and in the world. St. Martin-in-the-Fields is an open and accepting community where the love of Jesus lives and transforms.

Do you agree with these three vision statements? Do they help you picture St. Martin’s and its people who seek to serve Christ? We seek your feedback.  Leave a comment on the website or send an email to rector@stmartininthefields.org.
