It is with great pleasure that I announce to the congregation that we have a new rector. He will not officially join us until February 9, 2015. We will not be able to release his name to the congregation until he has time to make the proper notifications on his end. Clear your calendar for Saturday December 13, as our new rector will be joining us at the 5pm service and dinner to follow the service.
Stewardship?? How does this good news relate to stewardship? We at St. Martin in-the-Fields are getting ready to welcome our new rector and need to show him just how serious we are about supporting our church and ministries. When there is a need we swarm to it and overwhelm the need with our generosity. Our need as we wrap up our stewardship program for 2015 is to set the church operating budget on a firm foundation. Let’s make this happen by filling out our pledge cards. Our future is bright at St. Martin’s as we reach this exciting crossroads.
As of today we have received pledge commitments from 71 of our 115 families who supported our ministries in 2014. I know it is a busy time of year, but as we begin to build a budget for all of our ministries and a new rector, it is imperative that we hear from you and get your pledge recorded. You can drop off or mail a pledge card anytime, send an email to me or to Glenda Morehead, or go to the St. Martin in-the-Fields website and make your pledge online.
Thank you for your support.
