Youth Sermon January 2015

The young people of St. Martin’s have been very busy. A lot of paint, foam board and preparation went into a great sermon to kick off the new year. The family worship service, held on the first Sunday of the month at 10:30am, provides a great space for creative worship. Teens took the opportunity to serve as readers and took the congregation through the seasons of Advent, Christmas and into Epiphany.

The teens interpreted a Godly Play story depicting the weeks of Advent and the journey to Bethlehem. For weeks, the teens worked on painting, gluing and preparing five 8X5 feet pieces of foam board. They held a dress rehearsal and prepared readings, staging and lighting. A look ahead at Lent will find the teens up to something new!

Take a closer look at their work .
