Since late October, our church and school members filled four large dishwasher boxes to the brim with toys, and UGM picked them up on Monday, December 7. Special thanks go to St. Martin’s volunteers who helped keep this drive going from October through December.
candy-canes-for-ugmWe are also sending 200 candy canes with notes from the Keller Central High School Color Guard; the guard helped with this part of our project.
We started our Christmas giving drive early this year, in late October, and continued until the second Sunday of Advent, to support our community partner UGM and give them ample time to make Christmas bright for the families they serve. UGM works in Tarrant County to end homelessness. They give food, shelter and supportive services to men, women and children in residence, providing hope and a chance for a new start.

In January

In January our the monthly giving campaign of our Sunday School, youth, and St. Martin’s Episcopal School will be to provide men’s underwear & undershirts in sizes large and XL.

We made the news!

Our Advent Toy Drive was featured in an Episcopal News Service story headlined “Episcopalians across the world help others to celebrate Christmas.” This story shares efforts of congregations and groups from within the wider circle of The Episcopal Church.
