Things to Think and Pray About–Slow Down

What is “Lent?”

The word “Lent” comes from Old English and means that our days are getting longer during this time of the year.  During “Lent”, daylight savings time begins and we turn our clocks ahead one hour and “spring forward.”

Take time this week to slow down and find God in prayer.  Make time for friends and family.

Prayer: Dear God, each day passes by in a blur.  I’m busy with school, sports and homework.  My parents are busy with work. Help us to slow down and find you.  Help me to listen to You. Help me to serve you. AMEN
