The St. Francis Blessing of the Animals service was joyous with lots of yips, barks and laughter. Held directly north of the Memorial Garden, this service featured prayers to remember beloved pets that have passed away and prayers of thanksgiving for the animals that make life special. Even two goats joined in the celebration. Animals were invited forward for prayers and a special blessing. A bake sale, led by the Ackley family, raised money to go directly to the Humane Society of North Texas. Featuring brownies, coconut macaroons and Rice Krispie treats, the bake sale offered a sweet way to help our furry friends in the community.
