Service Sunday is Coming on August 9
Be an early bird and come to the education building at 9:30 am on Sunday, August 9 and help us set up for Service Sunday, a ministry started by the youth of St. Martin’s to provide sack lunches for the homeless served by Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County. Head back over to the education building from 12 pm – 12:30 pm to make sack lunches for the homeless. There are jobs for everyone, from decorating lunch sacks to making sandwiches.
We’d love some yummy baked goods to stuff in the lunches. Please bring peanut-free treats to the church office or education building (label treats “Service Sunday”) and know you are making a difference in someone’s life.
I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me… Matthew 25:35
Thanks so much to those who support the ministry of Service Sunday by donating supplies, time and talent. We appreciate all who bake treats and donate items like white lunch sacks, chips, bread, Nutrigrain bars,Sunbutter and grape jelly! What a long list of wonderful donations. A special thank you goes to Barbara Hollifield for donating sliced sweet bread each month from the Bread Ministry.
