Open the door to Lent: an art project

Looking for a new way to find purpose this Lent? Kids, teens and adults are invited to join forces to create prayer stations using wood doors, art supplies and a bit of creativity. Five stations will be created, each with a focus on “the fives:” pray, give worship, serve and love. A social justice element will also be woven into each station. The goal of this project is to provide a bit of community togetherness and to create stations for reflection to be used at the Good Friday family service at 5:30 pm Friday, March 25.  This project is for everyone, and you do not have to be a serious artist to be a part of this project!

Join in the school building on Sunday, March 6, from 12 – 2 pm two sessions to work on the art stations. Childcare for young children will be provided. Bring paint clothing to change into if you’d like to paint. A light soup and salad lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to the church office.
