Our Lending Library contains books for all ages on faith, religion and spirituality. You will find Bible commentaries, prayer devotionals, children’s books, Christian fiction, inspirational biographies and other great books. Does your prayer life need a little inspiration? Are you looking for some entertaining, wholesome fiction? Do you seek answers to your life challenges, or are you looking for deeper, richer insight into Christ’s ministry and journey in our world? Check out our church Lending Library! You might just find the answers you seek within.
St. Martin-in-the Fields’ Lending Library is a collection of books, donated by the generous members of our church, dedicated to providing the people of our parish with an assortment of materials to enhance their spiritual journey. The library is open every Sunday after the 8:30 service until the end of Coffee Hour and during Church Night on Wednesday evenings. We will have a rolling library cart in the parish hall for you to browse and more books on the shelves of the library in the large east parish hall. Our collection, now over 500 volumes, includes both nonfiction and Christian fiction. Categories of books include theology, devotionals, Bible study, comparative religions study, inspirational biographies, and children’s books.
If you wish to check out a book, you may record your name, book title, and checkout date in the library’s white checkout folder. If you wish to visit the library during weekday church office hours, you may inquire with our church administrator. Instructions for how to check out books have been posted on the library door and wall. Check-out period is two weeks, and a box for book return is located outside the library door in the large east parish hall.
We are always looking for donations! If you think there’s a title that we simply must include, and you are willing to give us a copy we would be very happy to add it to our collection. Please bear in mind that because of limited space we do take only books in good condition that address some kind of spiritual or religious need. Please watch this space; this is a very new ministry, and we may be adding additional features in the coming months.
