St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church invites the community to a workshop on Saturday, May 19, at 3 pm. All are invited to gather in the large east parish hall in the school building for learning and discussion, and then to walk the labyrinth outside. Enter the school building through the double glass doors by the parking lot.
Come and discover the history and meaning of the ancient tradition of labyrinths and how they are used in prayerful mediation in churches, hospitals and educational institutions. Ms. Jan Moltzan, a licensed labyrinth facilitator with Veriditas, will lead this workshop. Jan will use a video presentation from the Rev. Lauren Artress, Episcopal priest and founder of Veriditas, and additional materials she has created to help you. Bring your questions! Veriditas facilitators are dedicated to inspiring renewal through the labyrinth experiences.
After learning and questions, the workshop will move outside and do a group walk at the labyrinth, so bring what you need for the temperature and sun outside where group seating is unavailable; consider a hat, sunscreen, water bottle, and lawn chair. Stay and join in worship inside the church at 5 pm, where we sing, pray, praise, and celebrate Holy Communion.
