Easter Egg Hunt and Children’s Activities at St. Martin’s!
When do we gather?
Gathering time will begin at 9:30 am on Easter Sunday, April 20th in the fields. This allows for families to gather and take some family pictures together. We will also have the Flowering Cross in the fields. Children are encouraged to bring some flowers to place in this special wooden cross. The cross will be carried into the sanctuary to celebrate that “Jesus Lives!”
Is there Sunday school on Easter?
There is no Sunday school on Easter Sunday so that all may worship on Easter. The nursery will be available for our youngest children, ages 0-3 years. As you enter church, be sure to pick up coloring sheets and a children’s worship bulletin with crayons and pencils! Sunday school will resume at 10:30am on Sunday, April 27th in the education building.
When is the Easter egg hunt?
The hunt for infants through 5th graders will begin promptly at 9:45 am in the fields. Be an early bird! Children will break into small age groups led by teens. The children are given egg cartons to fill for a “no-tears” egg hunt. Each child will be able to fill their egg carton and dump eggs into their Easter basket.
See the Empty Tomb!
Make sure to visit the “empty tomb” on Easter morning in the education building. The children and teens of St. Martin have created butterflies and joyful artwork to celebrate our risen Lord!
