Don’t Miss the Last Friday Nights In Lent – UPDATED
This Friday, April 11th, we will wrap up a great Lenten series at St. Martin’s. Many thanks goes to Ron Hitchcock for leading a fabulous labyrinth offering for adults. Ron’s excitement and passion about the prayerful practice of walking a labyrinth has made a big impact at St. Martin’s. So many ideas are bubbling up about creating a labyrinth to be used at St. Martin’s! Special thanks also goes to Trinity Episcopal church for graciously loaning us a beautiful cloth labyrinth for the class.
It has been a joy to spend time with the teens and children of St. Martin’s for our messy journey through the Gospel of Mark. Each week, a new story about Jesus and his journey and ministry on Earth have become “real” with hands-on projects, prayers, and time to think about God’s word and ask questions. It was so fun to create labyrinths out of fruit strips and prayer beads for our friends and family. We will finish our class with a special message about the amazing love that God has for us, and of course some messy fun along the way! The awesome teens who are just like big brothers and sisters to the younger children of St. Martin’s made the children’s class a success! Lastly, much appreciation goes to the nursery staff who nurture our youngest children!
Join us this Friday, April 11th!
We will start with Stations of the Cross at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary, followed by a delicious potluck dinner in the west parish hall. Classes for all from 7:30 pm-8:30 pm. Don’t miss the last night in this series!
UPDATE: The adult class on the Labyrinth will be an in-house study & review. One hot topic will be whether to install a labyrinth on the parish hall floor.
