On Saturday, April 14, St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal school held its annual fundraiser, and what a success it was! This year’s the theme was BBQ, Beer and Bingo. We played ten games of bingo and gave away 5 raffle prizes. Bingo winners got to draw their prize from a hat, but had to hold their breath: along with all of the wonderful gift baskets that could be won, there were also two zonk prizes: a 24 pack of toilet paper and a head scratcher!
Our amazing BBQ dinner was provided by Woo Pig Quee. The chef smoked meat for 24 hours in the back of our parking lot in perparation; not enough could be said about how delicious the food was!
We had 160 attendees this year, including 35 kiddos, our biggest turnout yet, and we raised nearly $3000! Thank you to all who attended the event and to those that donated prize items and/or their time. The school could not have had a successful outcome without your help!
Funds raised from this event will go toward the second phase of the playground improvements as well as for teacher supplies.
