Going Deeper: Exploring Our Beliefs
Every week we recite the Nicene Creed, our statement of beliefs, but when have you had the opportunity to dissect this prayer and examine how these beliefs truly resonate with your life? This small discussion group for men and women will do just that. Facilitator: Henry Penner
Women, Food & God
This small group is for women who want to become more conscious about what they eat and why they eat. Using Geneen Roth’s Women, Food and God, we’ll discuss our motivations for eating and how our relationship with food has everything to do with our relationship with life and, in turn, God. Facilitators: Julie Langeberg, Registered Dietician & Valerie Reinke, Christian Ed. Director.
Teens
Teen Time
Join us for homework help ‘n’ hang-out time for 6th-12th graders. Bring your homework and maybe someone can decipher that algebra problem. Or maybe you can help someone else grasp the long-term implications of the Crimean War. FYI - Amy loves diagramming sentences! Facilitator: Amy Haynie, Youth Minister
Children
Art for Creative Minds
This is not your typical arts and crafts at church!... Children will get hands-on experience with a wide range of media. Periodically, art shows at the church will feature our young Rembrandts. Ages 4 years old and up. Facilitators: Suzanne Finan, Independent Art Instructor & Linda Seeber, Certified Art Instructor
Sports Skills for Fun
This is a non-competitive, fun and friend-building way for children to learn and reinforce their sports skills. Kids will practice throwing, catching, and kicking and also learn the basics of a wide array of sports. Expect a few non-traditional sports like frisbee and kickball thrown in there for good measure! Ages 4 years old and up. Coaches: Gregg Madsen & Jerry Finan.
Enriched Nursery
Our little ones will also create art projects and listen to stories so they too can experience personal enrichment. Facilitator: "Miss Rusty" Lemmon & Rachel Stehlik.
