The new 4Saints Episcopal Food Pantry is tentatively preparing to open on January 27, and needs you to volunteer, according to Volunteer Coordinator Don Mayer. The food pantry at St. Luke in the Meadow Episcopal Church in east Fort Worth is expected to be open Fridays to serve the Meadowbrook area of east Fort Worth.

Serving would involve about 3-4 hours of your time, 11 am to 2 pm Fridays; the pantry will assist clients from noon to 2 pm.
Additionally, we need a second group of Thursday morning volunteers at 8:30 am to unload the incoming food delivery truck, and then to stock the pantry. That should take a couple of hours.
If you can serve at least once a month, that would be great! If you know of others who are looking for volunteer work, please let them know.

About the pantry
4Saints Episcopal Food Pantry is a new Episcopal food bank within our deanery. The Meadowbrook area of Fort Worth, where St. Luke’s is, has many low-income families, and hunger is an issue there. This will be the only food pantry in the area. St. Martin’s joins St. Alban’s, Arlington and St. Stephen’s, Hurst in our support of this food ministry at St. Luke’s, because together we can get this ministry off the ground. In 2016, St. Martin’s purchased paint for the renovated space and collected money for food as the pantry opens.
